Kildare Environment Grants Deadline

Local Agenda 21 Environmental Partnership Fund 2014

The deadline for grant applicants for this year's Local Agenda 21 Environmental Partnership Fund is fast approaching and intending applicants are reminded to submit completed applications, with supporting documentation (where applicable) to Kildare County Council on or before Monday, 30th June next.

This grant funding promotes sustainable development by assisting small scale, non-profit environmental projects at a local level.  Under the scheme, a total of €31,000 was provided to 20 projects in County Kildare during 2013.

Does Your Project Qualify?

Projects should focus on environmental awareness and actions, which complement national environmental policies such as those on waste, biodiversity, water conservation and climate change. A wide variety of projects and schemes have been supported under the Fund in previous years, including community gardens and allotments, compost schemes, rainwater harvesting, biodiversity projects, waste reduction initiatives, educational initiatives and environmental exhibitions.
