Information Evenings - 'Stories of the River Liffey'

All are welcome to share their stories

For thousands of years the River Liffey has shaped the lives of the generations who have lived along its banks, and Abarta Heritage would love to find out about your local stories relating to life along the banks of the river.

Information evenings are being held at the following times:

  • Tuesday 11th October at 7pm in St. Kevin's Community Centre in Blessington
  • Newbridge Library on Wednesday 12th October at 7pm
  • Celbridge Manor Hotel on Wednesday 19th October at 7pm

- to share stories as part of the River Liffey Heritage Project.

This project aims to record local stories relating to folklore, archaeology, history, traditions and songs so that a digital database, which will preserve the stories for future generations, can be created. All are welcome to share their stories and hear about what life was like in the past.

The River Liffey Heritage Project is an action of the County Heritage Plan, supported by the local authorities of Wicklow, Kildare, South County Dublin, Fingal and Dublin City and the Heritage Council.
