Wants Town Council status

CELBRIDGE 24 February 2003: Celbridge Town Council wants to have Celbridge be given a Town Council status.

The issue was raised at the organisation's AGM, where Mareid Byrne said Kildare County Council had agreed to support such an application.

Any town with a population of over 10,000 is entitled to apply for such status.
