Childcare grants

KILDARE SOUTH 28 March 2003: Two Kildare childcare providers have received grants totalling over E100,000 from Equal Opportunities Childcare Programme.

They are Jack in the Box, Ballyfair, The Curragh, and Little Rascals, Ballagh, Monasterevin, who each get a capital grant of E50,790.

Senator Dardis is calling on other childcare providers throughout Kildare to make the most of available funding. “This latest round of funding has made an additional E3.8 million available to a mix of both community and private childcare providers," he said, "leading to the creation of over 850 childcare places and supporting over 540 existing childcare places.”

He said such childcare projects provide an 'excellent and essential service', supporting parents from Monasterevin and The Curragh in the workplace.
