Open Meeting for college

25 August 2003: The National College of Ireland will hold an Open Evening for prospective students from Kildare in the Keadeen Hotel from 6 - 8pm tomorrow (Tuesday) evening. Lecturers and representatives from the college will be on hand to talk to potential students about the courses on offer from their regional centre in Newbridge.

Speaking about the programme, President of NCI, Professor Joyce O’Connor says students from Kildare have found the programmes offered in the centre in Newbridge to be ideal for their personal learning and career development needs with many finding the qualifications have helped them to further their careers or in some cases to change career direction.

“Most importantly, by running these third level courses in places like St Conleths’s Vocational School in Newbridge, the off campus programme gives many people the opportunity to return to learning without sacrificing home and work life."

The Newbridge centre will offer the following courses -

- NCI Diploma in Management and Employee Relations

- NCI Diploma in First Line Management

- NCI Diploma in Management and Information Systems

NCI is a leading provider of graduate and post-graduate courses in Business management subjects, HR, IT and Humanities. Over 8,000 students of all ages participate in courses run by the College in Dublin and in 40 centres across the country.
