Put people first - Walsh (May 9)

Issues that are central to the whole fabric of communities in North Kildare will be the deciding factors that will determine the make up of the next government. This is the prediction of Progressive Democrat candidate Cllr. Kate Walsh who says that speaking to communities from Naas to Leixlip she has met people who are concerned at the lack of services for the communities of North Kildare.

"We need to address the issues that really matter. Having worked in the community I know that key issues are the lack of access to health services, the concerns about personal safety, lack of childcare places, and the need to ensure quality supports for senior citizens. People are fed up with transport problems and we need for affordable and accessible transport into, across and out of this county. This is my agenda, making sure that the Progressive Democrats in government remember that people must be put first, and that a vibrant economy within quality of life is of little use."

"It’s time to change the way we shape society in this country. It’s time that North Kildare changed the pack of cards that it has dealt in every General election for the past twenty years. I am standing for change, a new face, a new TD, from a different Party with a radical and liberal agenda". The people of North Kildare deserve the services that are accorded to other communities and I will ensure that they get them".
