Work starts on Kilcock school

KILCOCK, 27 March 2002: by Brian Byrne. Work has recently begun on an extension to Scoil Dara Secondary School in Kilcock. It is expected to take 12 months.

The extension consists of eight egenral classrooms, a science laboratory, an Art and Craft room, a Metalwork room, a Computer room, a Mechanical Drawing room, a Home Economics room, three Social Studies rooms and Administration, toilets and storage,

The move has been welcomed by Deputy Emmet Stagg, who notes that the school currently has in excess of 800 pupils in a school built to cater for 350.
