KILDARE GENERAL, 16 September 2002: A correspondent to KNN is seeking help in locating a long-lost friend of her mother's
'My name is Grainne Canavan and I am trying to locate a lady named Carmel Wylie from Dublin, Wylie being her maiden name.
The purpose of this, is that I want to reunite her with my mother Dympna McKenna (now Canavan), as they were great friends when they were at school. They have not seen each other since my parents were married and it will be my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary next year, and I was hoping to locate Carmel should she still live in Kildare.
As far as my mother was aware, she thought Carmel married a man in the Construction Industry by the name of Davis, Davies or Davidson from Kildare. I am trying to locate this man or someone from the company should it still exist, who may be able to assist me in my challenge of tracking Carmel down.
Any help at all would be much obliged as it would mean a great deal to my mother if we could find Carmel as a surprise present for their Anniversary.
