Tom Dowling's KNN Racing Commentary

Disposen (3.15) looks a real dead cert and can top up the bank holiday funds by winning at Wexford. This one is very consistent and will win this little race if only half running up to his best. Get the money down! I’m told Grimshaw (2.15) is going extremely well at home and ready to score at last. He’s been very unlucky and would surely have been on hat trick mission hee but for uncharastic mistakes in his last two. Grimshaw should make amends today.

Galway is the other Sunday meeting and Estival Park (3.30), Quinze (5.00) and Kontiki Bay (5.30) might provide us with a good win treble. Estival Park is way ahead of his rivals after a super run in defeat behind the classy Desert Sky while Quinze has only Go Roger Go to beat and should add to his unbeaten start over fences. Kontiki Bay let followers down when favourite at Gowran Park but the Galway circuit will suit him and he should bring up the treble.

Best bet at Leopardstown on Monday is Monashee Mountain (2.45), an impressive winner of his only start to date. His trainer Aidan O Brien reached 50 juvenile winners for the season at Leopardstown on Saturday and there’s no way Monashee Mountain will be beaten! Double him up with the Dermot Weld trained Social Harmony (4.45). Odds on last weekend when caught by a vastly improved Rolo Tomasi, this one has a nice turn of foot which should be enough to see him home in front again.

If our Sunday treble clicks at Galway be bold and add in Hadeb (4.15) for a Monday three timer. It’s not the hardest looking Ballyroan Stakes this year and although Hadeb beat very little in his last two races he has managed to succeed with some style. Hadeb should win again.

There’s racing at Thurles on Thursday but it’s better to keep your powder dry than put money down on any of these races. A day of shocks could be on the cards at Thurles so keep your money firmly in your pocket.
