Truck crash at Newhall

29 July 2003: A lorry driver escaped unharmed when a big articulated truck failed to manoeuvre the roundabout at Newhall this morning.

The Eagle Transport lorry, carrying a load of chips, had come off the motorway and overturned while manoeuvring for the Newbridge Road on the roundabout at about 6.30am this morning.

Eagle Transport is based at Belview Port, in Waterford and its representatives were at the site of the accident until the lorry was righted with the help of two cranes at the scene. The representative said the driver was on his way back to Waterford.
