Vintage rally for cancer treatment

16 August 2003: A rally of vintage cars, tractors and other vehicles will take place in the Kilcullen area on Sunday 17, in aid of cancer treatment.

The event will begin in Brannockstown at 12 noon, and the convoy will drive to Carnalway, Kilcullen, up to Old Kilcullen and back to the Stray Inn at Brannockstown.

Names such as Fordson, Ferguson, Nuffiled, Wahal, Porsche, Styre, David Brown, Rools Royce, Ford, Triumph, Norton and BSA will feature amongst the 40-plus vehicles.

The event is organised by local businessmen Norman Eager and Mack Sully, and is being run by a committee which includes the proprietor of the Stray Inn, Ger Markey.

A special charity auction in conjunction with the rally will take place at the Stray Inn at 6pm.
