Pauline Clooney

Pauline Clooney is an award-winning writer, an experienced creative writing workshop facilitator, and a teacher for over 30 years. Taking early retirement from second level teaching in 2017 to pursue a writing career, Pauline, conscious that writing would not pay the bills, also established a writing centre, The Kildare Writing Centre, where she facilitates courses, currently online, in creative writing for adults.

In October of this year, 2021, her debut novel, Beautiful Things in his Head. Her short stories are published in an anthology of stories associated with historical houses of Great Britain entitled Ireland's Own Anthology of Short Stories, and in HCE Review, Arts and Literary Journal.

Pauline is currently working on a new novel which focuses on the relationship between the poet, William Butler Yeats and his wife, George Hyde Lees.
