The exhibition A Revolutionary Journey – Éamonn O’Modhráin, Kildare and the 1916 Rising – The O’Modhráin Private Collection Revealed was launched by the Mayor of Kildare, Councillor Brendan Weld on 28 February 2016. Many members of Éamonn’s family attended the launch, which also included a lecture on Éamonn O’Modhráin by Robert Doyle and a beautiful rendition of Grace by Éamonn’s grandson, Lughaidh. The exhibition toured the library network for the remainder of 2016. Kildare Library Services published a Selection of Recommended Reads to aid the interested reader. On 13 April 2016 Éamon Ó Cuív launched a commemorative plaque in Prosperous in memory of local man Thomas Harris who was a member of the GPO garrison in 1916. On a separate occasion, he discussed his grandfather, Éamon de Valera’s role, in 1916 at a meeting in Kildare Town of the Cill Dara Historical Society.
