All the Year’s a Stage! Martina O’Reilly turned out the men and women of Maynooth in the company of An Nuadha Players 100 years after the Maynooth 15 marched to fight in the GPO with her magnificent play, Conquered Not We Were on 26 and 28 March 2016. It was staged in Maynooth and the grounds of Carton House. A DVD of the performance was also produced. The Run of the Mill Inclusive Theatre Company and Choices Day Programme, St. John of God’s Services, Liffey region, presented The Plough and the stars, in Celbridge Manor Hotel, on 15 December 2016. An intimate look at the life of one of the great Kildare patriots was undertaken by musician, writer and actor, Fia Rua, in his original play, ‘From the plains – The story of John Devoy,’ at the Duck and Cup Café, Moat Theatre, Naas, on 18 December 2016. Michael Rowley’s exhibition The artist remembers 1916, was launched by Brig. Gen.
