By endurance we conquer- 13th year
The countdown to the Tri Athy triathlon continues as the big day on Saturday, 1st June next approaches.
Competitors compete in one of 4 different race types- with swim in the River Barrow, cycle and run. Around 2,000 participants take part in the triathlon each year.
Up to 200 competitors will take part in an advance swim on 26th May in 'Swim Athy', as they prepare for the big day.
Tri Athy is supported by Kildare County Council and Athy Town Promoters Group. A significant community effort is involved in preparation for the event and on the day in helping to showcase the town to visitors and their supporters.
