Athy Scout Group take the challenge
We are 7 Scouts from the 5th Kildare (Athy) Scout Group and our challenge is Operation Tent-the-Nation, Code Name: 1-24-26.
This challenge involves 7 Scouters driving to each of the 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland and pitching a tent in each of the 26 counties in 24 hours.
From this challenge, we hope to raise enough money, not only to buy an AED for our Scout Den, but we hope to be able to purchase one for a Scout group in each of the 42 Scout counties in the Republic of Ireland.
To achieve this, we need all the support and publicity available to us.
The date of the challenge will be the 17th and 18th of August. We will start in Rossnowlagh in Co. Donegal at 7pm and it will finish in Athy in Co. Kildare the following evening at, approximately, 7pm.
