Planning permission granted by Council
The redevelopment of the former Carlton Abbey Hotel in Athy town centre looks likely following the grant of planning permission by Kildare County Council this week.
The former hotel is located in the convent buildings of the Sisters or Mercy off Stanhope Street. County Homes & Venue Holdings are the planning applicants. Previously, the council considered plans for redevelopment of the buildings to a nursing home.
