Celebration
of Reading at our School Book Fair 2020.
The School Book Fair was held in St. Evin's School in the first week of
March, 2020 - just before Lockdown commenced!
There were hundreds of new children's books to browse and buy.
Parents were invited to come to the fair and choose a book for their child. There
were over 200 titles for children to choose from. Lots of Literacy
competitions were running throughout the week to encourage a love of reading in
all our pupils. Our school got 60% of the money spent at the Book
Fair to purchase Library books for our school. This meant we were able to
buy brand new books to the value of €2,649.54.
Thanks to Mrs. Bastick who co-ordinated the
event and to all the parents who helped out each day.
Here are the beautiful books that Mrs. Bastick purchased for
the children out of the book fair profits.
