There is huge interest in Girls' Football among the pupils of Scoil Eimhín Naofa. Our school holds numerous Championship titles since 2000. Each year the school has entered Under-11 and Senior Teams in the Cumann na mBunscol County Leagues. Over the years we have earned our way  up to Division 1 and are currently playing at the top county level. We are lucky to have a lovely playing pitch in our school grounds which is maintained to a very high standard. The team jerseys are sponsored by Ger Melia.

October 2017: Our Under-11 Football Team reached the  Cumann na mBunscol Kildare Final in Division 1. Although the team had many superb victories along the way in League Matches they were unfortunate on the day and didn't succeed in bringing back the cup. The competition is always tough in the Top Division! But well done to the children and coaches, Mr. Costello, and Miss McCormack for a great effort. Many of the team members will get another chance to play at senior level in the Summer term. -2018.

Autumn 2016: Our school entered the Under-11 Football Cumann na mBunscol Kildare League. The girls trained and played very well throughout the season, winning and losing matches. However we were unable to retain the cup from last year. Maybe it was time to give another school a chance!

October 20th,2015: Once again our Under-11 Football Team are County Champions in Cumann na mBunscol Competition, Division 1. Our school has retained the title now for four years in a row. Heartiest Congratulations to all the girls on the team and the coaches, Mr. Costello and Miss McCormack. The final took place in Moorefield and many parents and a bus full of supporters from the school were there to cheer our team to victory. Gráinne, the captain, held the cup high and thanked her team-mates, opponents, coaches and supporters.

May 28th, 2014: Our Senior Girls' Football Team reached the final of the 2014 Cumann na mBunscol Championship, Division 1. On May 28th, the match was played against a very strong Kilcullen side. Unfortunately things didn't go well on the day, and despite some brilliant performances and a huge team effort the girls were unable to defend their title. However, we are very proud of all the team members who showed enthusiasm and commitment through all the practices and qualifying games to reach the final.

May 2013:  Congratulations to our Senior Girls’ Football team on winning the Cumann na mBunscol, Division 1 Final on Tuesday, May 28th, 2013 by defeating Scoil Bhríde, Clane.  The game was played in a downpour from first whistle to the end of extra-time.  The girls thoroughly deserved their victory and all of their hard work throughout the competition was ultimately rewarded.  We say a special ‘thank you’ to their teachers/ coaches, Miss Barry and Mrs. Houlihan, for all of the time, expertise and hard work invested in this group achievement! Another victory in a Final! Another wonderful achievement! A word of thanks also to our supporters who ‘braved the elements’ and enthusiastically cheered our team to victory.
