On Friday, May 16th, we had a hen with six little chicks in our school. The chicks, who were only 2 days old, delighted all the pupils who had an opportunity to see and hold them. They were so small and fluffy, like little balls of cotton wool. The chicks had a great time too, and loved all the attention they got. The Mother Hen was very calm and had no problem allowing us to admire her new babies. She had been sitting on the eggs for 21 days before the chicks hatched out. Some of the chicks might be making a trip back before the end of the year to show us how much they have grown.
