St. Evin's School has a long tradition of fundraising for the Missions. Every Friday a mission collection is held in each class and children are encouraged to make a donation to the mission fund to help those less fortunate in poorer parts of the world. This initiative supports the objectives of the SPHE Curriculum and the Religious Programme in our school. All the mission donations are directed specifically towards children in need. Our school is affiliated to The Irish Society of Missionary Children, www.wmi.ie. We also make donations directly to people we know personally who are working in Missions in various parts of the world. The Mission Raffle which promotes the mission collections in the classes is sponsored by FitzPatrick's Texaco Garage in Monasterevin. Promotion of mission awareness and management of funds are co-ordinated by Ms. French.
