In May the pupils from first, second, third and fourth classes took part in a lovely violin recital in the school. Each class took their turn on stage to play tunes on their instruments. The recital was introduced and directed by the music teacher, Sonya Cadigan, who comes to the school every Monday to teach the violin. It was wonderful to hear how much progress the children have made over the years. Many parents attended the recital and they really enjoyed the lovely class performances.
The instruments have been provided to the school through Kildare County Council Arts Initiative.
The Parents' Council fundraise on an annual basis to cover the costs of tuition fees.
