President's Fundraising Lunch, 23rd June 2006

The only place to be on Fri 23rd June 2006 was was at the home of our president Maureen, who hosted a wonderful fundraising lunch. The day was beautiful and and after we were vetted and passed by Noreen and Nuala, we did indeed enter the "Garden of Delights".

It was a colourful scene with all the ladies dressed in their Summer finery and a full glass of wine in the hand was the perfect and most effective accessory.There was a great air of warmth, friendliness and joie de vivre, with everyone greeting and chatting with friends of now and yesteryear.

A photographer captured all on camera for posterity. The lunch indoors was delicious. The raffle was a great success. tea and coffee were served in the garden and we reluctantly tore ourselves away long after we should have gone. nCongratulations to Maureen on a superb day.
