Traditionally known as the Birdcatcher Raceday at Naas Racecourse and this year Naas Racecourse delighted to announce that Tally - Ho Stud will be sponsoring the EBF Birdcatcher Premier Nursery Handicap and a supporting race, The Inns of Court Handicap

The Birdcatcher race is renowned as Ireland’s most prestigious nursery races and with a value of €50,000 it is also the richest two-year-old handicap of the season.

Tally - Ho Stud  is recognised as one of Irelands leading Studs and leading consignors of thoroughbreds in both Ireland and the UK.

Kodiac, Irelands leading sire in 2019, is one of six stallions standing at the Stud.

Inns of Court will be a welcomed edition to the string in 2020.

The stallion will be a hugely exciting prospect for breeders, offering the opportunity to breed to a world class son of Invincible Spirit.

The day itself is a hugely competitive day of racing with the €120,000 Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Finale, EBF Bluebell Stakes (listed race) & the Naas Racecourse Business Club EBF Garnet Stakes (listed race) taking place on the day

A record of 77 two-year-olds are entered for the fifth running of the Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Series Finale. The series is designed to create wide-scale opportunities for horses purchased as a yearling or a 2yo at public auction for €72,000 or less, with allowances for fillies and horses purchased at a lower auction price.

Last year’s winner Cedars Of Lebanon was bought for €11,000 from the Tattersalls Ireland September yearling sale and won an impressive €87,625 throughout the series.
