Kildare County Council, on behalf of Athy Half Marathon & 10km Event, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road on Sunday, 09 August 2026 to facilitate The Athy Half Marathon and 10km Event.

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Any objections/observations should be lodged via our Consultation Portal https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en, and be addressed to the Senior Executive Officer of Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, at the address below. All submissions must be made on or before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 21 July 2026.
