Community Grants

Community Grants

Applications are sought from community organisations located within a 9km radius of the Drehid Facility (Drehid 9km Map). The Drehid Grant Scheme provides funding for environmental, recreational and community projects which will mitigate the impact of the landfill facility on the local community.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 21st April 2021 at 5.00 p.m.

The information required is the same as in past years. However, prior to completing the online application process we recommend that you:

  • Read the Drehid Grant Guidelines 2021.
  • Set up a dedicated email address in the name of your organisation as this will be used in the profile of your group in 2021 and for future years.
  • Save digital copies of relevant supporting documents e.g. quotations, deeds, lease etc. and a recent bank statement to your device. You will need to upload these as you complete the online application. All documents must be clearly legible.

  • You will be asked to select your Municipal District from a drop-down list; please take note all Drehid applicants are located in the Clane/Maynooth municipal district.
  • It is essential that you reply to the signature verification email which will issue once your form has been submitted as your application will not be processed otherwise.
  • Applications must be made using this official online application form.

Due to reducing scheme funds, there is now a limit to the maximum amount that can be applied for. Please see Condition 2.1 in the Drehid Grant Guidelines 2021.

If you have any queries in relation to the completion of your application, please feel free to contact Ciara at or by telephone at 045 980660.
