Information and advice concerning the coronavirus for cancer patients, cancer survivors and their families - Click here
The Irish Cancer Society provides a number of services for cancer patients and survivors. These include:
- A Cancer Nurseline (1800 200 700), which is now operating seven days a week, with hours on Monday to Thursday 9am to 8pm and Friday to Sunday 9am to 5pm. Nurses can talk people through any concerns they have about their diagnosis or treatment, while the entitlements team can give information on finances and other entitlements.
- A new phone counselling service has launched as people can no longer attend the face to face counselling funded in local cancer support centres around the country.
- Night Nursing and Volunteer Driver services are still operating and are following guidance from the HSE on minimising the risk of coronavirus on patients, staff and volunteers.
All of these services are free of charge.
