This event will train volunteers to monitor the Marsh Fritillary larval nests as part of the National Marsh Fritillary Monitoring Scheme.
It will include a presentation and a field trip.
The event will include a presentation on the Marsh Fritillary including its ecology, life-cycle, habitat management and monitoring techniques.
Participants will learn how to survey the larval webs using the methods established by the National Biodiversity Data Centre's Marsh Fritillary Monitoring Scheme.
There will be a field trip to Lullymore West Bog where IPCC will demonstrate the monitoring methodology.
