The Launch of Hail to the Flag: Through The Turbulent Years, a collection of poetry by the Teresa Brayton, took place in the Community Centre in Newtown, Kilcock on April 1st at 8.00pm.
This new collection was complied by the Teresa Brayton Heritage Group whose choice of the community centre in Newtown was very appropriate given that the building was originally the schoolhouse where Teresa went to school. The Book was launched by Liam Doyle.
Hail to the Flag: Through The Turbulent Years collection was selected by Bernadette Gilligan and covers a timeline of Irish history leading up to the Rising and its aftermath, the Irish Diaspora and the emigrants’ lament for homeland.
