Join us for River Liffey Stories, an evening of short films taking you on a breathtaking journey from the Liffey’s source high in the majestic Wicklow Mountains as it meanders through towns and villages of beautiful County Kildare and County Dublin before reaching the sea in Dublin Bay.
Watch the secrets of the landscape unfold through a series of themed films which follow the river on its journey and recount the fascinating stories of history, geology, flora and fauna and people of the river through the ages until the present day.
The River Liffey Stories a collaboration between the Heritage Offices of Wicklow, Kildare and South Dublin County Councils with Bailey & Blake video productions.
The production of these films received funding through the Creative Ireland Programme 2017-2022 and are informed by an earlier heritage recording project funded by the local authorities and The Heritage Council.
The River Liffey is an important watercourse which contributes significantly to our natural and cultural heritage.
This film night is taking place on 2nd February at 7.30pm in the Band Hall Ballymore Eustace.
