The Riverbank Arts Centre is calling all drama fans to experience Swallow .
A darkly comic tale in which Cyril McAloon, a Monaghan protestant farmer
recounts the events of the day that just ending. Written and performed
by Michael Harding and directed by Judy Hegarty Lovett.
Irish Theatre Magazine observed “the language is searing, raw and
sometimes viciously funny” and The Irish Times noted that “for once
the Irish monologue is warranted form”. Writing for The Sunday Independent,
Emer O'Kelly said “the visualisation, in this case, is little short
of miraculous”. The show premiered at the ESB Dublin Fringe Festival
2003 where Harding won the award for Best Actor and the show was a
Best Production nominee. There will be a Post
Show Discussion with Michael Harding.
