No Alternative…Theatre Company presents Magdalen at the Riverbank
Arts Centre on Thursday 23 October next at 8.00 pm
Magdalen is a one woman play written by Tony Barrow, and directed by
Aisling Farrell. Aisling plays the part of Magdalen in this one hour,
intense, but fast paced monologue. Directed by Patrick Sutton, the play
premiered at the 2002 Dublin Fringe Festival and played to full houses
and much positive reaction at The Studio in Andrew’s Lane Theatre.
This is a love story, a story of loss and longing. It is a hunger play.
She has lost her man. Her heart is broken in two. They say he ascended
into the heavens. She cannot believe this resurrection story. Journey
with Magdalen as she smells him down, hunts him down - scent on the
wind. Magdalen is an intense, fast moving play that will leave you breathless.
Aisling Farrell is one of the rising stars in Irish Theatre today,
her performance is mesmerising.
