Ireland Overview
TradeNet Ireland Limited was set up after a successful application
to the Special EU Fund for Peace and Reconciliation in 1997, with
matched funding from 15 local authorities North and South. The
aim of the project is to improve the competitiveness and trading
opportunities of SMEs in Northern Ireland and the Republic of
Ireland through the provision of a range of Internet-based trading
services. The Website was launched October 1999, www.tradenetireland.com
The project has had its funding renewed by Co-Operation Ireland
until 2006 and is currently expanding its Partner and Membership
bases. With fifteen Partners and over 1,900 members TradeNetIreland.com
is uniquely placed to provide valuable business services via the
Internet.
