Call for Nominations to the Voluntary KLESN Board

County Kildare Local Employment Service Network Ltd (KLESN) is now accepting nominations

All those interested in becoming a Member should complete a Nomination Form and forward to the Board by 4th January 2016. Please email naas@cokildareles.ie during the coming weeks seeking a Nomination Form & marking your email subject 'Nomination for Voluntary Board'. We will reply with that form by email.

KLESN has now completed nineteen years of service and operates throughout the County of Kildare and also provides services to parts of Carlow, Wicklow, Laois and Meath, it is managed by a voluntary Board of Directors representing the various target groups and agencies.

KLESN was established in 1996 by the Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment in conjunction with FAS, and is currently contracted by Department of Social Protection since 2013.

KLESN is a non-profit Organisation.

The Board and Executive Board meet approx. 6 times a year.Our Executive Board comprises of:

  1. Chairperson
  2. Vice Chairperson
  3. Treasurer
  4. Secretary

General Qualities for KLESN Board Service:

  1. Good understanding of Government Agencies
  2. High ethical standards and integrity
  3. Strong communication skills>
  4. Someone who will bring passion and energy to the role

All KLESN voluntary Board members commit to the following guidelines:

  1. Establish as a high priority my attendance at all meetings of the Board, and committee meetings on which I serve.
  2. Be prepared to contribute to the discussion of issues and business to be addressed, having read the agenda and all backround support material relevant to the meeting, remaining confidential in all matters as may arise.
  3. Represent the Organisation in a positive and supportive manner at all times and in all places.
  4. Avoid conflicts of interest between my position as a board member and my personal and professional life.
  5. To promote the Organisation.
