A WELL-KNOWN NAAS LANDMARK TO DISAPPEAR

This narrow, twisting, hump-backed Limerick Bridge, over the Corbally Bank of the Grand Canal at Jigginstown, Naas, which has been the scene of many accidents, is shortly being removed.  Work is presently in progress on the construction of a new thoroughfare and bridge to the south, which when completed will cut off several bad bends and make the old road and present bridge obsolete.
