A FINAL CALL TO ARMS 2018
Kildare Local History and Genealogy Department are appealing again to the general public for assistance for a forthcoming publication on the Co. Kildare war dead of WWI. Work is nearing completion on this publication which will be launched at a civic ceremony in Aras Chill Dara, Naas, at 11 p.m. on the morning of 11 November 2018 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.
We are looking for details, photos, medals, memorabilia, etc., on any fatal casualties from Co. Kildare to add to the final list of the dead. We are also appealing for information on plaques, memorials, burial places and honour rolls of men and women from Co. Kildare who died in the 1914-18 war. All information and material given will be credited and returned to the owner,
