Naas Paper Chase

The Naas Paper Athletic Club held another paper chase on Sunday last over a trail from Tipper through Baltreacy to Black-hall where entering the famous “Herds Garden” it wheeled to the right by the Old Double, through the Lime Kiln Field to the Dublin Gap where, owing to the strong wind demanding a heavy “scent” the “hares” ran out of paper and were obliged to direct the pack home via Crad-oxtown Bog. The voucher system was again tested and was favourably received by all, the following securing the “order of merit”- P.J. Farrell, C. Treacy, John McGarr, T. Tyrell and Dick Smith. J. Kilduff was awarded the consolation prize for the first man home. This club meets on Sunday at Parkgate at 1 p.m.
