New Governor-General.
The Appointment of Mr. Domnail Ua Buacalla as Governor-General was the chief topic of conversation in Naas during the last week-end. Mr. Ua Buacalla, although a rare visitor to the town, is well-known and extremely popular with all classes, including those who have been politically opposed to him in recent years. He presided at the local Feis during the summer and has also been associated with the local branch of the Gaelic League of which he is still an honorary member.
