REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE 1933

AT KILDARE  

At Kildare on Sunday the annual Remembrance Day parade of Brownstown branch, British Legion, was held, the parade was taken by Mr. S. P. Carey (Chairman of the branch), and was largely attended. Formed up at the Legion Hall, Brownstown, Curragh, and marched to the Windmill Hill, Kildare, where members from Kildare joined in and proceeded to St. Brigid’s Parish Church for special Mass at 10 o’clcok, which was celebrated by Rev. D. Waldron, C.C. After Mass all marched back to the starting point, some members from Kildare and Brownstown areas then proceeded to Carna Churchyard, and placed a wreath on the grave of their comrade, the late J. Byrne, and they then proceeded to Kilcullen, where they placed a wreath on the grave of the late W. Nolan.
