Riddled with Bullets 

Young Kildare man’s death

Dublin Castle states that at eight o’clock on the evening of the 16th inst. Mrs Ann Dunne, aged 70, of Grangehiggin, six miles from Kildare, was seriously wounded by eight armed men, who raided her house.  Her son Philip, aged 30, was dragged from the house and shot dead, his body being riddled with bullets.
