Once again the volunteers who put up the Christmas lights in Celbridge have been hard at work and the lights are now ready for the official switching on ceremony

The team worked through the night over a recent weekend and despite very heavy rain the job was successfully completed. The committee would like to acknowledge the support of the local Gardai who controlled traffic while the workmen were putting the light fittings up.
This is the 12th year; the Christmas Lights will light up the Main Street in Celbridge. The switching on of the lights is the start of the count-down to the Christmas for the children in our community. To mark this event, there will again be a party for the children in the grounds of St. Patrick’s Church in the Main Street. Entertainment will be provided by the Gardai Band and Santa will be arriving to help switch on the lights at 4-30pm.
Parents and children are welcome to attend this family event – the organising committee are looking forward to another successful event this year.
All are welcome.
