On Saturday and Sunday May 26th & 27th the ninth running of the Royal Irish Automobile Club’s Pioneer Run will take place based at Barberstown Castle Hotel and travelling through parts of Counties Kildare and Meath.

Three Classes:

  1. Brighton Class for cars manufactured before 31.12.1904
  2. Centenary Class for cars 1905 to 1912
  3. Motorcycle Class up to 1914
  • 55 mile Pioneer Run on Sunday
  • 25 mile ‘shake-down’ Run and Display on Saturday
  • Two days of excellent driving and social events 
  • RIAC Drinks Reception on Saturday night to welcome participants
  • BQ on Saturday Night – the social event of the weekend
  • Lunch and Prizegiving on Sunday after Run
  • Event check-in available on Saturday and Sunday
  • Special rates for Barberstown Castle Hotel
  • Special car ferry rates
