Jennifer Wallace took the baton for the last lap, heading the 50 other participants and providing a great sight of the red singlets spread over 50 meters around the track. In between our oldest to our youngest members ran the 200 meters of their lives with breath taking speed. The committee would like to thank all the kids who took part and all the adults for their attendance and their encouragement. Second to the participation was the small matter of “guess the time” which was shared between two—Paul Madsen and Brian Walsh who got within 3 seconds guessing 36:15. Special thanks to Kildare Town Soccer Club for accommodating us on the day and Kildare Farm Foods for the vital bottles of water for the kids. The lap-by-lap breakdown is available here.
