INRODUCTION TO NAAS HOCKEY CLUB

Welcome to Naas Hockey Club's Website. Being established in 1881 makes Naas one of the oldest hockey clubs in Ireland and it is one of the largest clubs outside the Dublin area.

Naas has 3 ladies and 3 mens senior teams, playing in the Leinster leagues. There are also both mens and ladies veterans teams who play regular friendly matches and a variety of under-age participating in junior blitz and tournament competition.

The club operates from our ground in the Caragh Road complex. A new sports centre has just been opened offering dressing room and shower facilities as well as the option of indoor training. Training is twice weekly for both mens and ladies teams with the junior coaching taking place on Sunday mornings. Matches are played on Saturdays during the season which runs from October to March.

Apart from all the running around the club likes to play just as hard off the pitch. As well as club events such as our Christmas and end of season parties, race and quiz nights, we also gather after games in our sponsor's premises - Todds - to celebrate or commiserate on the results of the day.
