Located on the site where St Brigid, the patron of Kildare, founded a monastery in 480AD. Visitors can view the 750 year old cathedral and climb the Round Tower, the highest in Ireland with public access.

St Brigid's Cathedral and Kildare Round Tower are open to the Public from the 1st of May until 30th September

Monday-Saturday 10am -1pm and 2pm to 5pm Sundays 2pm to 5pm. Last entrance is 4.45pm daily.

The Grounds are accessible all year round by visiting Kildare Town Heritage Centre & Tourist Office on the other side of the Square.
