Celtic’s U15Ms deserve Victory

Under 15 Major
Saturday 02-10-10
Kilcock Celtic 5     BBC United 3

Kilcock Celtic picked up a great league win in Scoil Dara on Saturday afternoon. (See Match Reports for full report)

Straight from the start of the game both teams showed their intent to attack with both going close in the opening minutes.
Kilcock went close to scoring when Barry Hill was straight through on goals but his shot went straight at the keeper. Soon afterwards it was Jamie Taggart turn but also had his shot saved by Dylan Kane in the BBC goals.
BBC were playing  a very effective offside trap and caught the Celtic players on numerous occasions but they were caught after fifteen minutes when Jamie Taggart burst through from deep to score. BBC came back strongly and Kilcock needed good defending from Jordan Hamilton and Niall Gribben at the back to keep the lead.
After 25 mins the visitors equalised, when Luke McFay scored after a good team move.

Shortly afterwards BBC were 2-1 up when Joe Mulraney pounced on a mix up in the Kilcock defence to score from the edge of the area. This was not the end of the scoring in the first half, and again Jamie Taggart beat the off-side trap to give Dylan Kane no chance, as he coolly slotted home from inside the area.
The opening period of the second half was a more sedated affair with both teams getting bogged down in midfield, this lasted until 15 mins from the end when Barry Hill got on the scorssheet at the third attempt after his first two shots were saved. BBC did not give up and were awarded a penalty when John Grehan was adjudge to have pushed a BBC forward. Dean Tyrell stepped up to put away the spot kick to make the score 3 all.
After this both team went in search for the winning goal and it was Kilcock who wrapped up the point with strikes from Daniel Byrne and hat-trick hero Jamie Taggart
Best for Kilcock were Keith Leonard, Marius Michalcnzk and James Martin
