Division 4
Kilcock Celtic 6   Kildare town 0

Kilcock Celtic ended their season with their biggest win of the season so far
with 6-0 win against Kildare town in Scoil Dara on Sunday morning last. (see Match Reports for full report)

For most of the first half the home side had lots of possession of the ball and created lots of
chances but failed to score until just before the break.

Kilcock opened the scoring after forty minutes when left midfielder Lorcan Fagan was
fouled in the Kildare penalty box, and which resulted in a penalty for Kilcock. Lorcan Fagan then got up and hit the penalty to the back of the visitor’s net to put Kilcock 1-0 in front.

Celtic then went further in front after 43 mins when midfielder Chris O’Meara’s
shot from outside the box was parried by the Kildare keeper and the rebound fell
kindly to the inrushing Eoin Moriarity who hit the ball to the back of the Kildare net to put Kilcock 2-0 up at the half-time break.

Kilcock continued where they left off just after the break with a third goal.
Another Chris O’Meara shot was saved by the Kildare keeper and the rebound fell
kindly to the in-rushing Alan O’Brien who slotted the ball past the helpless keeper.

Kilcock then scored a forth goal after the hour mark.  Left back, Darren Gavin sent a
ball down the line to Eoin Moriarity, who ran at the visitor’s defence and was fouled in the penalty box, resulting in another penalty for Celtic.
This time it was forward Brendan Brady who scored from the penalty spot to put the home side 4-0 in front.

Kilcock then got a fifth. Chris O’Meara hit in a cross and Eoin Moriarity jumped highest in the penalty box to score his second and Celtic’s fifth.

Kilcock finished on a flourish and got their sixth goal of the game with seven minutes to go. Gavin Dalton sent a ball down the line to Stephen Byrne, who crossed the ball in to Brendan Brady who finished the ball to the back of the visitors net.
