Liam Kenny, an acknowledged expert on the history of local government, will give an illustrated talk at Leixlip Library, Captain's Hill, Leixlip, on Thursday, 16th June at 7.30pm on "The first Kildare County Council and early local authorities in Kildare".

Liam Kenny is Director of the Association of City and County Councils. He was for a long time a journalist covering the meetings of Kildare County Council and he contributes a weekly column on local history to the Leinster Leader newspaper.
