KILDARE PETTY SESSIONS.
THURSDAY.

Before Mr. J. E. Medlicott, in the chair, Major Hutchinson, R.M.


ON THE NIGHT OF THE MOTOR RACE.
Mary Anne Parnell, Kildare, was charged with being drunk and disorderly on the public street, on the 2nd inst. Sergeant McGrath who prosecuted stated that the defendant's conduct was very bad and it occurred at 11 o'clock at night. This was her fourth offence within the twelve months.
Defendant: It was on the night of the Motor Race and it was ginger wine I took.
Chairman: I need not ask what her character is when it is her fourth offence within the twelve months.
Complainant: She was very noisy and drunk; she had plenty of drink taken.
Chairman: And on the night of the Motor Race when there were crowds of people in town.
Complainant: She was making an exhibition of herself on the street before some soldiers previous to that. Fined 10s. or 7 days imprisonment.
