AFTER '16 is a once-off initiative from Bord Scannan na hEireann / the Irish Film Board with a view to commemorating, celebrating and ruminating on 1916 and how the events of Easter Sunday and beyond forged the landscape of the century that followed.
The Irish Film Board commissioned filmmakers to give their response to 1916 and the hundred years since.
The result is a series of stories, both fact and fiction, which illuminate, surprise and provoke - on the wide subject of 1916 and what it has left in its wake.
These films are ambitious and imaginative a mix of contemporary and period, live action and animation
